Who we are

Silliest Goose ("we", "us") makes two games: The Pooper Scoopers (for iPhone and iPad on the App Store, and for Android on Google Play) and Talking Kitty Cat Box Cleanup (for iPhone on the App Store) (together, "the apps"). This policy explains what information the apps handle and how. It applies to both apps, on every platform, and to this website. Their data practices are the same, with one difference noted below: only The Pooper Scoopers has a purchase.

What we collect

Anonymous usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase). When you play, the apps automatically report events such as app launches, screens viewed, games played, and purchases completed. These events are tied to a random app instance ID: an identifier created for your copy of the app. It is not connected to your identity, your Apple ID or Google account, or any advertising identifier. Google derives an approximate region (country or city level) from a masked version of your IP address; the full IP address is not stored. We use this data to understand which parts of the games work and to fix problems. This website uses Google Analytics the same way: to count visits anonymously.

Purchase state (The Pooper Scoopers only). If you buy the "Unlock Everything" purchase, Apple (on the App Store) or Google (on Google Play) processes the payment. We never see your payment details. The app stores an on-device record that the purchase was made so your unlock persists. Talking Kitty Cat Box Cleanup has no purchases at all.

Game progress. Progress (in The Pooper Scoopers: days completed, credits, and cosmetics; in Talking Kitty Cat Box Cleanup: your best run and settings) is saved on your device (and in your device backups). Progress is not uploaded to us.

What we don't do

  • No advertising, and no advertising identifiers (no IDFA on iOS, no advertising ID on Android). The apps never ask to track you, so iOS never shows you a tracking prompt for them. (The apps do link to each other on the App Store; that's a plain link, not ad tracking.)
  • No selling of data, and no sharing beyond the Google Analytics processing described above.
  • No accounts and no sign-in. We collect no names, emails, or contacts through the apps.
  • No precise location, microphone, camera, photo, or health data. The apps don't ask for those permissions because they don't use them.

Children

Our games are family-friendly. They are not directed specifically at children under 13, and they collect no personal information from any player. Purchases (in The Pooper Scoopers) go through the standard App Store or Google Play purchase confirmation, and parental controls such as Ask to Buy, Screen Time purchase restrictions, and Google Play purchase authentication apply as configured on the device.

Retention and your choices

Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for Firebase under its standard retention settings and is not personally identifiable to us. Because the analytics identifier is random and app-scoped, you can reset it at any time by deleting and reinstalling an app. Deleting an app also deletes its local save data.

If you have a privacy question or request, email us (address below) and we'll do what we can, though in most cases there is simply no personal data on our side to act on.

Changes to this policy

If either app's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the effective date revised before that change ships. Meaningful changes will also be noted in that app's release notes.
